CFI Evan Krueger of Madison will conduct a Rusty Pilot Seminar on Saturday, October 20 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the EAA Chapter 431 hangar at Brodhead Airport. The seminar will also show how new students can create an FAA IACRA account and receive their student pilots license.
Human Factors Doctor Hannah Silber will also present on human factors and how they relate to aircraft accidents.
This seminar is open to the public for $25 and is free to EAA Chapter 431 members. (You can join Chapter 431 here.)

Attention all current chapter members, new doors have been installed on the main chapter building, which includes new locks and keys. Stay tuned for information on how to get a replacement key for the chapter building.
A reminder to all EAA Chapter 431 members that our annual chapter picnic is Sunday, September 23rd at 12:00 noon. We have a fair amount of food left over from the MAAC fly-in so this year only, do not bring a dish to pass except dessert.
Also the same day, the Alzhemier’s and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin is sponsoring the 5th Annual Tractor Drive and Ride which will be based at the Kelch Aviation Museum this year. Chapter members can take a tractor ride around the area for a small fee.
The annual Midwest Antique Airplane Club’s “Grassroots” fly-in is once again upon us. For those attending, please take the time to read this year’s updated information page linked below. There are some changes from previous years and it always helps to keep everybody safe and operating on the same wavelength.

This year’s design features member Greg Heckman’s 1928 Lincoln-Page LP-3, which was recently restored and flown for the first time in 89 years.

As of Monday, July 16, Brodhead Airport is dry and in good condition. Runways, camping and parking areas have been mowed and most everything is ready for the Brodhead Pietenpol Reunion.
The mosquito population is also quite healthy. Bring your bug spray!
Levi Eastlick of WisDOT Bureau of Aeronautics will present “Proficiency and using the new ACS” before the regular chapter meeting on July 3rd. The presentation starts at 6:00 p.m.

Please note the Hatz Biplane Association is holding their annual fly-in at Wausau (Wis.) Downtown Airport to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Hatz Biplane. They will be back at Brodhead in 2019.
